BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Thank you for choosing Faraway Points Expeditions. Please read the following terms before booking your expedition.Booking Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed only after we have received your required deposit and issued a confirmation email.Deposit
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the expedition.
For expeditions requiring special permits (such as Baikonur), deposits are used immediately to secure government permits, accommodation and logistics.Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment schedule stated for each expedition.
Failure to make payment by the deadline may result in cancellation of your booking.Passport & Visa Requirements
Travellers are responsible for ensuring they have:
- A passport valid for at least six months
- Any required visas
- Required travel documentsTravel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all participants and may be mandatory for certain expeditions.
Your policy should include:
- Medical expenses
- Emergency evacuation
- Trip cancellation
- Personal belongingsItinerary Changes
Due to local conditions, weather, government regulations or operational requirements, itineraries may change without prior notice.
We will always aim to provide a comparable experience.Cancellation by Traveller
Deposits are generally non-refundable. (Dependant on trip)
Additional cancellation charges may apply depending on expenses already incurred.Cancellation by Faraway Points
If an expedition is cancelled due to insufficient participants, government restrictions, force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered either:
- A full refund of payments made to Faraway Points (excluding non-refundable third-party costs), or
- A transfer to a future departure.Responsibility
Adventure travel involves inherent risks.
By joining our expeditions, participants acknowledge these risks and agree to travel responsibly.
